The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company announced today that Joel Johnson, Vice President, has been promoted to Portfolio Manager after successfully completing the extensive curriculum and testing to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). The professional distinction of CFA measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts.

Johnson has been a member of the investment management team for four years. His work focuses on researching specific sectors in information technology and telecommunications for client portfolios. He has also been heavily involved in the day to day trading of client accounts, working alongside senior team members while earning his designation.

Prior to joining the firm, Johnson worked as a personal banker at Fifth Third Bancorp, where he was responsible for customer account maintenance, customer relations and sales. He obtained his degree in finance from Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, Florida and was awarded a financial analyst internship with TerraCap Management in Bonita Springs followed by an investment associate internship at Moors and Cabot Investments in Naples.
