The 2024 Sanibel Shell Show will be March 8-9 at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour, 17260 Harbour Pointe Dr., Ft. Myers, just before the Sanibel Causeway. Local students of all ages are encouraged to enter both the Artistic and the Scientific Divisions of the show.
Past student exhibits
All entries should be postmarked no later than Feb. 1, 2024. There are many different categories within each of the two divisions, and plenty of opportunities for students to display their creativity. This could be the perfect “class project.”
Specific guidelines for entering the Artistic and the Scientific Divisions can be found on the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club’s website here. You may also contact this year’s Scientific Chair Kathy Kenley by email at Dolphin_Gal2000@yahoo.com or the Artistic Chair Linda Arnold at lindagravesarnold@gmail.com for more information.
Free parking is available on site, and there is no toll required. Show hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and a $5 donation is requested to enter the show.
The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club awards grants from the proceeds of this annual show towards education and research in the fields of conchology and malacology, as well as for conservation and water quality projects, primarily in Southwest Florida.
