Michael Mechachoni of Sanibel was traveling west in the 2000 block of Periwinkle Way at 8:58 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, when he stopped for traffic and the back of his vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Heath Bodge of Cape Coral. Bodge was issued a citation for careless driving.
