David Muench of Periwinkle Park is the guest speaker at the FISH Friendly Faces luncheon in August.

FISH of SANCAP is hosting its monthly Friendly Faces Luncheon at the Sanibel Community House with featured speaker, Dick Muench of Periwinkle Park. It starts at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

Muench operates Periwinkle Park, a beloved family-owned campground and trailer park that has been a part of the community for more than six decades. The park is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere, island charm, and tight-knit community.

Muench will discuss the park’s origin, its growth over the decades, and the incredible resilience it has shown after Hurricane Ian. “We’ve been incredibly lucky to call Sanibel home for so many years,” said Muench.

“What makes Periwinkle Park special isn’t just the property, it’s the people. After Ian, the community came together in ways I’ll never forget,” he said. “I’m looking forward to sharing a bit of that journey with our neighbors at the Friendly Faces lunch.”

Lunch is now provided monthly by The Great White Grill and offered at no cost to guests. FISH extends its gratitude to the Sanibel Deli for its meal partnership over the past year and for helping make the Friendly Faces luncheon a welcoming and delicious experience.

All are welcome. RSVP by Thursday, Aug. 8, by contacting Erika Arnowitz at FISH by email: erika@fishofsancap.org or by phone at 239-472-4775.
