For the past five years Henry Peterson has held a turkey drive in front of his Sanibel home on Lagoon Drive. He collects turkeys and dry goods for the Harry Chapin Food Bank, the largest hunger-relief network in Southwest Florida serving Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties. Peterson’s first drive totaled 10 turkeys, and this year he collected 962 pounds of turkey, 277 pounds of dry goods and $2,405 in donations. And his neighbors volunteered to help with the no-contact deliveries.
