The 2024 Pink Cares Celebration Tea will present a Chico’s fashion show featuring Sanibel models, raffle prizes, and discounts for all present. “Chico’s has been a part of the fabric of Sanibel life since it opened in Periwinkle Place in 1983,” said General Manager Dena Fischer. “We love and admire the ladies of Sanibel and Captiva, and are proud to be partnering with the San Cap Pink Project to support community caregivers at this event.”

Wood Christie’s International Real Estate is the title sponsor of the Pink Cares Celebration Tea. “It’s my honor to be affiliated with such an incredible group of people,” said LeAne Suarez, whose entire family are local Southwest Florida residents dedicated to the community, their neighbors, and their business. “We avidly support the San Cap Pink Project. Not only do they spend their time helping individuals and their families facing a battle, they do it with such a positive attitude. It’s impossible not to have the greatest of hopes.”
Tickets for the Pink Cares Celebration Tea are on sale at www.PinkOutTea.com for $50 each or mail a check to the San Cap Pink Project, P.O. Box 125 Sanibel, Florida 33957 for tickets or to contribute. The event will again be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 at Cielo Restaurant, 1244 Periwinkle Way.
“We are pleased to offer a pop-up discount April 23-25 for 10% off at the register to all attending the event,” continued Fischer. “So many of our customers have had to manage cancer among close friends and family, including my own family. We’re glad to offer this extra bit of support.”
San Cap Pink Project, Inc., known for almost 15 years on Sanibel Island as Pink Out, puts the focus on caregivers at this event,” said Mary Bondurant, organization founder. “Caregivers are often the unsung heroes when cancer threatens a family member or friend.”

“Lisa Spooner, NBC2 News Today Anchor, will serve as emcee for our Pink Cares Celebration Tea,” added Ann Neubauer, organization president. “Lisa is a wonderful supporter and a very popular emcee for Pink Tea events. She never hesitates to join us in the fight.”
“Although we are known for our campaigns to provide mammograms and events in October, San Cap Pink Project is active year-round serving those seeking a helping hand. ,” continued Bondurant. “Cielo Restaurant is a great community supporter and we’re delighted they are hosting our first caregiver event.”
This fall, the annual Pink Out Picnic at the Firehouse will be Thursday, October 24. Dink for Pink pickleball tournament at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa courts will be October 26 and 27. The spectacular 2024 Pink Tea is also on tap for October with the date and times to be announced. All San Cap Pink Project events are designed to honor, remember, and support. Net proceeds from ticket sales, contributions to the raffles and auctions, donations, and merchandise benefit uninsured and underinsured members of local communities needing help with cancer related needs.
