At its organizational meeting on January 27, 2026, Sanibel Planning Commissioners unanimously re-elected Chair Paul Nichols and Vice Chair Erika Steiner to serve one-year terms as officers.
Mayor Mike Miller congratulated Commissioners Kate Sergeant, Lyman Welch, and Ken Colter on being reappointed to the Commission.
Subcommittee members were also appointed as follows:
Below Market Rate Housing Review Subcommittee Kate Sergeant, Chair; Paul Nichols, Lyman Welch, Tiffany Burns
Capital Improvement Projects Review Subcommittee Erika Steiner, Chair; Tiffany Burns, Ken Colter, Larry Schopp, Kate Sergeant, Lyman Welch
Land Development Code Review Subcommittee, Larry Schopp, Chair; all members of the Planning Commission
Permitting Process Review Subcommittee Ken Colter, Chair; Tiffany Burns, Paul Nichols, Larry Schopp, Erika Steiner
Commission Chair Paul Nichols was excused from this meeting.
