Amanda Ridings of Sanibel was charged with driving under the influence Thursday, Jan. 13, after officers conducted a traffic stop on Fulgar Street for careless and erratic driving. Ridings was booked into the Lee County Jail and released the next day on a $1,000 bond.
A power washer was reported stolen Wednesday, Jan. 19 from an unoccupied dwelling on Nerita Street.
Alex Martinez of Lehigh Acres was stopped for traffic in the southbound lane of Causeway Boulevard at 7:56 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, when the back of his vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Meta Roth of Fort Myers. No injuries were reported.
Jack Decker of Westerville, Ohio, was stopped in the westbound lane of Periwinkle Way at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, when the back of his vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Jarret Duncan of Fort Myers. No injuries were reported.

A sick or injured sea gull was found Wednesday, Jan. 19 on the beach at the Fulgur Street access. It was transported to Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife for treatment.
A sick or injured pelican was found Wednesday, Jan. 19 on the beach near Gulfside Place on Middle Gulf Drive. It was transported to CROW.
