The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce that it has raised more than $15,000 in support of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) following the success of its 28th Annual RPAC Golf Tournament & Auction.
This impressive fundraising effort reflects the Association’s ongoing commitment to protecting private property rights and advocating for critical water quality issues facing Southwest Florida.
RPAC plays a vital role in promoting legislation that protects the interests of homeowners and Real Estate professionals on Sanibel, Captiva, and across the state. Funds raised through RPAC are used to support elected officials and initiatives that align with the values of property ownership, smart growth, and environmental responsibility.
“Water quality is not just an environmental issue—it’s an economic one,” said Becky Mulka, President of the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS®. “Protecting our pristine waterways is essential to maintaining property values, supporting our local economy, and preserving the unique character of our islands. That’s why I live here.”
RPAC has long supported projects that benefit Southwest Florida, including funding for Everglades restoration, water infrastructure improvements, beach renourishment, and responsible land-use policies. Across Florida, RPAC helps monitor thousands of proposed bills each legislative session, advocating for policies that protect homeownership, oppose harmful regulations, and ensure that REALTOR® voices are heard at all levels of government.
The funds raised by the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS® will directly support these efforts, helping to ensure that both property rights and water quality remain top priorities for decision-makers in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.
