The Sanibel Recreation Center is pleased to announce the reopening of its pools after a comprehensive pool deck refurbishment. The new deck enhances safety and creates an even better experience for patrons.
“Unfortunately, the weekend rains delayed the reopening, but we are excited to show off our spectacular updates starting Wednesday,” the city said in a release. “We sincerely thank our community members and guests for their patience during this process.”
With the improvements complete, all aquatics activities and classes will resume on Wednesday, August 27, at 7:30 a.m.
Pool hours for reopening day are as follows:
Lap Swimming: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Aquatics Classes: Resuming Wednesday, August 27 at 10:15 a.m.
“This project was an essential safety enhancement to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all who use our pools,” said Connor Russell, Facilities and Operations Supervisor. “We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to a refreshed and improved pool deck.”
The Sanibel Recreation Center invites the community to enjoy the newly upgraded pool facilities and celebrate the return of all aquatic programs.
