The Sanibel Recreation Center is excited to announce the weight room, lobby, and multi-use rooms will reopen ahead of schedule at 8 a.m. Friday, June 2.They had been closed since May 15 due to fumes associated with the installation of new maple flooring in the gymnasium.
The gymnasium will remain closed at this time but is scheduled to tentatively reopen the week of June 12.
The Rec Center is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Sanibel Recreation Center is located at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road. For more information, call the Sanibel Recreation Center at (239) 472-0302.
