Reconstruction is underway at Beachview Villas, marking a significant step forward in the island’s recovery following Hurricane Ian. The new luxury villas are rising on the former grounds of Beachview Cottages, which were destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022.
The project, formerly known as White Pelican Villas, reflects Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts’ long-standing commitment to restoring places that hold deep meaning for the island and its visitors. For decades, SCBR has played a central role in shaping Sanibel and Captiva’s hospitality experience, balancing thoughtful development with stewardship of the islands’ unique character.
“Having acquired Beachview in 1979, we are proud to honor the property’s rich heritage while thoughtfully rebuilding for the future,” said Tony Lapi, President and Chairman of the Board of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts.
The reimagined Beachview Villas will offer luxury accommodations designed for peace, privacy, and a refined coastal stay. Plans include spacious villas with generous indoor and outdoor spaces, full kitchens, and shared community areas intended for gathering with family and friends.
A new website for Beachview Villas is now live, where interested guests can learn more about the project and sign up for updates. Reservations are expected to open in spring 2026, with an anticipated opening in summer 2026.
