City Manager Dana Souza provided an update on the improvements to MacKenzie Hall that will allow city meetings to return to their home base. The City is currently paying to have government meetings at BIG ARTS.

In the FY25 budget, City Council appropriated funds for improvements to MacKenzie Hall as follows:
• Information Technologies – Video Display Updates: $50,000
• Public Facilities – MacKenzie Hall Improvements: $70,000

While equipment specifications are complete, the purchase order issued to Beyond Audio Visual exceeds the budget at $67,915. The additional expense will be paid from the operating budget.

Progress to date includes the removal of fixed chairs and replacement with existing portable chairs. Carpet (tiles) and color (lighter shades of gray or blue) have been chosen. A contractor is to provide a quote to extend the dais to incorporate a seating area for staff.

A project schedule has not been determined.
