The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club recently installed its Board of Directors and officers for the 2026–2027 Rotary year.
During the club’s annual Installation Dinner, outgoing President Paul Hawkins passed the ceremonial gavel to incoming President Rev. Dr. Sally Haynes, who officially began her term on July 1. Haynes will lead the club under the theme, “Community. Community. Unity.”
The club’s Executive Board includes President Sally Haynes, President-Elect Sam Ankerson, Vice President Bob Stern, Secretary Chester “Chet” Sadler, Treasurer John Raho, Assistant Treasurer Patricia Norton, and Immediate Past President Paul Hawkins.
The 2026–2027 Board of Directors includes Michael Young, David Liscinsky, John Henshaw, Cecilia Liichow, and Paul Tritaik. Additional club officers include Bill Harkey as Attendance Secretary and Sergeant-at-Arms and Barbara Ellis as Attendance Secretary, Club Director, Club Youth Exchange Counselor, Interact Club Sponsor, and Youth Services Chair.
The Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club meets every Friday at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way in Sanibel. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the weekly program at 8 a.m. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome.
