SanCap Rotary welcomed its newest member, Pete Ihrig, who was a member of the Upper Keys Rotary Club for 11 years, became a Paul Harris Fellow, served as a mentor for the Interact Club, and served as a board member for two years.

Ihrig grew up in New Jersey and served as a Russian Linguist in the Air Force for nine years. He then had a 30-year career in technology consulting, during which he traveled around the world.

Ihrig is an ordained teaching pastor and Elder for Island Community Church in Islamorada. He likes to read and fish, and he is finishing up a PhD in Theology.

As Rotarians, we provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club achieves this through engaging meetings, events, and service opportunities, along with our support of non-profit organizations, our members, and our community.

To learn more about the Sanibel Captiva Rotary Club, join us for breakfast every Friday at 7:30 a.m. at the Sanibel Community House, or visit our website, www.sanibelrotary.org.
