Sanibel Captiva Community Bank is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Community Housing and Resources’ Winter Wonderland Festival of Trees fundraising project.

The event offers local artists, groups, businesses and organizations an opportunity to sponsor a custom-designed holiday tree to be displayed at The Community House Friday, Nov. 21. The trees will be auctioned off at the Festival of Trees Benefit Saturday, Nov. 22, to raise funds to support affordable housing on Sanibel and Captiva islands. Community Housing and Resources Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization addressing the need for affordable housing in the Sanibel and Captiva area. It also serves as the City of Sanibel’s housing foundation under the Affordable Housing Program. CHR owns 76 affordable housing units at various locations, including 67 rental properties — one of which is a 12-unit complex for senior residents — and nine Limited Equity Ownership homes through the Coast and Islands Community Land Trust.
