San Cap Pink Project, Inc. announces the annual Pink Tea supporting cancer needs.
“The hurricanes last fall interrupted plans for the traditional breast cancer awareness month Pink Tea in October,” said Organization President Ann Neubauer. “But we’re coming back with an even more exciting event on Feb. 12 at the newly renovated Sundial Beach Resort and Spa on Sanibel Island, and we couldn’t be more excited.”
To register, visit PinkOutTea.com, and you’ll find the Annual Pink Tea Party page on Eventbrite or mail a check to:
San Cap Pink Project
PO Box 125
Sanibel, FL 33957.
Individual tickets are $75 per person. For tables of eight, call 239-839-3633.
“All proceeds from the Pink Tea go to support the local community,” said Founder Mary Bondurant. “Although our group is known for providing mammograms, we also help support our community’s cancer needs, especially where there are gaps in insurance. We also help with rides to and from appointments and send care packages so people know they aren’t alone in what they’re facing. Although October is breast cancer awareness month, we are active year-round serving all those touched by any cancer.”
Lisa Spooner, NBC2 News Today Anchor, will return by popular demand to emcee the Pink Tea. “I always try to make sure I do my part to support causes which support the brave men and women who have battled and continue to fight cancer,” said Spooner. “The positive energy of the San Cap Pink Project team is extraordinary, and the event is always a lot of fun,” she smiled.
“Supporting breast cancer patients goes far beyond providing products—it’s about creating a community of hope and empowerment,” said Ashleigh Russel, owner of A New Dawn Mastectomy Boutique in Fort Myers. “Events like the Pink Tea Party not only raise critical funds for the community but also remind us that no one fights this battle alone. I’m honored to be invited to this February’s event.”
The San Cap Pink Project is run solely by volunteers, and all events are designed to honor, remember, and support. Net proceeds from ticket sales, contributions to the raffles and auctions, donations, and merchandise benefit uninsured and underinsured members of local communities needing help with cancer-related needs.
San Cap Pink Project urges the community to reach out for assistance, participate, donate, or volunteer.
