In March of 2023, SanCap Resilience gathered community data at its programs at BIG ARTS. In the year since, SanCap Resilience has used that data to inform the programs it has sponsored and also the materials and resources it has made available. Now, a year later, it is our expectation that the community’s needs and concerns have changed. To learn more about what’s on the minds of people who live and work on Sanibel and Captiva today, SanCap Resilience has put together an online survey. The group’s goal is to have as many people as possible complete the survey and provide input.
The survey is intended for those who live (full-time or seasonally) and/or work on the islands. It should take about 10 minutes or less to complete. If you need assistance completing this survey the staff at F.I.S.H. of SanCap or the Sanibel Public Library are available to help. The survey can be accessed here.
By answering the questions in the survey, residents and employees on Sanibel and Captiva will help inform the future work of SanCap Resilience, which could include online resources, community educational events, solicitation of grant funding for resiliency projects, planning related to our community’s resilience, and more.
“SanCap Resilience is a citizen-led effort, so it’s important that we understand the needs and concerns that community members have,” said Bob Moore, the chair of the SanCap Resilience steering committee. “We also want to understand community members’ priorities as we make plans for the future.”
Individual responses to the survey will be anonymous, but the summary data will be made pubic for all interested.
