The Sanctuary Golf Club Foundation Board approved $530,000 in grant funding to island nonprofits that align with the Foundation’s mission to support organizations that improve the lives of those working or living on our islands. The Sanctuary Foundation also provides educational scholarships for its employees and their families, as well as an Employee Emergency Fund.
The following organizations were selected as 2024-25 grant recipients:
• $200,000 to F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva – for the Helping Hands Rental Assistance Program and support of the new Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope initiative
• $150,000 to CHR (Community Housing & Resources) – to assist with the remodeling and repair of three affordable housing apartments
• $75,000 to CECI (Children’s Education Center of the Islands) – supporting 2025 summer camp programming and 2025-26 tuition assistance
• $50,000 to Trailways Camps – to help establish a new camp experience on Sanibel or Captiva for individuals with special needs
• $30,000 to The Sanibel School – in support of its growing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) program
• $24,500 to Harry Chapin Food Bank – to fight food insecurity at The Sanibel School
The Sanctuary Foundation is proud to continue its partnership with these outstanding nonprofits whose missions align with our values and commitment to community impact. We are equally excited to announce a new partnership with Trailways Camps, an inspiring organization dedicated to creating meaningful camp experiences for individuals with special needs. Together, we look forward to expanding opportunities, and making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
This level of impact wouldn’t be possible without the support of The Sanctuary’s generous and compassionate Members. Their unwavering commitment not only sustains the Foundation’s mission but also ripples outward, uplifting countless other nonprofits across the islands. Sanctuary Members give their time and energy —volunteering in their communities, championing local causes, and embodying a spirit that strengthens our Islands.
