Congratulations to Anne Joffe, founder and owner of She Sells Sea Shells, for receiving the Concologists of America Lifetime Achievement Award at the recent COA National Convention.
The Conchologists of America organization operates mainly with the support of volunteers, as exemplified by the working board of directors. The Lifetime Achievement Award is established to honor COA board members who have served for an extended period of time. Their sustained devotion has significantly contributed to the organization’s successful operation.
With over 45 years of dedication, including serving as president and holding numerous board positions, Joffe has genuinely made a global impact on seashell and marine interests. This prestigious award, only the third ever given, was an accomplishment well-deserved and an honor she shares with the Sanibel community and shell lovers everywhere.
She Sells Sea Shells, an award-winning family-owned and operated business since 1976 on Sanibel Island, is a unique Ocean Boutique. It offers an eclectic inventory of shells and exotic sea life, jewelry, books, craft supplies, clothing, and the most extensive collection of handmade shell crafts, including Christmas ornaments, novelties, animals, and flowers.
Giving back to the community is a core value of She Sells Sea Shells and the Joffe Family and has been an ongoing practice for its 48+ successful years on Sanibel.
