The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company will continue its exciting and informative Wisdom of Women series with two seminars in April that cover investment, financial and estate planning. The Sanibel event takes place on Wednesday, April 9 at the Trust Company’s Sanibel office. The Fort Myers program is on Thursday, April 10 at the Trust Company’s Bell Tower Office in Fort Myers.
Each presentation will touch on the basics of investing and financial planning, including retirement, long-term care, caregiving, creditor protection, titling of trusts, inheritance, estate tax and more.
Presenters will share case studies covering the following scenarios that commonly impact women of all ages:
• Suddenly single: whether through divorce, incapacity or death of a spouse.
• Cash windfall: whether from the sale of a business or other significant asset, or an inheritance.
• Midlife planning: how to make sure you have enough money to live on, what are your goals and how best to establish a legacy for family
• Each seminar will be led by female members of The Trust Company team, including Bell Tower Office President Megan Marquardt, CFP®, CTFA.
“The most common questions we hear are, ‘Do I have enough money to maintain my lifestyle in retirement?’ and ‘What will happen financially if I find myself alone?’” said Marquardt. “We hope our attendees leave with answers to these questions and the tools they need to navigate their circumstances.”
The Sanibel event begins at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 at the Trust Company’s Sanibel office, 2450 Periwinkle Way on Sanibel. The Fort Myers program is at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 at the Trust Company’s Bell Tower Office, 13525 Bell Tower Drive in Fort Myers. Beverages and light appetizers will be served.
Reservations for each seminar are required. $2 million in investable assets and higher. To register, contact Frances Steger at fsteger@sancaptrustco.com or 239-472-8300.
