Sanibel Holding Hurricane Seminar

The City of Sanibel will hold the 2025 Hurricane Seminar from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, May 30, at BIG ARTS, 900 Dunlop Rd. This informative event features a panel of speakers who will share with residents, business owners, and island workers the City’s plan for the upcoming storm season, hurricane preparedness and family emergency planning, special needs issues, post-storm recovery plans, and more. The seminar is free, and no reservations are required.

Featured speakers are: Fox 4 Weekend Meteorologist Andrew Shipley, Sanibel Chief of Police Bill Dalton, Lee County Emergency Management Chief John Schultz, Sanibel Fire & Rescue Chief Kevin Barbot, FISH of SANCAP Executive Director Maria Espinoza, Public Works Director Fred Mittl, and Sanibel Building Director/Official Craig Mole. 

The seminar will be streamed live on Facebook.
