Sanibel Music Festival Kicks Off With Holiday Concert

The Sanibel Music Festival returns for its 39th season of internationally acclaimed chamber music concerts at the Sanibel Congregational Church. The season kicks off with a free public holiday concert at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, featuring stellar musicians from the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University.

The highly anticipated season schedule includes:
• March 3 – Cliburn Piano competition winner Aristo Sham
• March 7 – Calidore String Quartet “Sounds of America
• March 10 – Viana String Quartet, back by popular demand
• March 14 – Boston Trio
• March 21 – Opera Theater of Connecticut, featuring Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber
• March 24 – Polonsky Shifrin-Willy Trio

The Sanibel Music Festival depends on patrons’ generosity, as ticket sales cover only 40 percent of expenses. Donations of any amount may be made online here or mailed to SMF, P.O. Box 1623, Sanibel, FL 33957.
