Sanibel Police Blotter: Two Enforcement Actions

Sanibel Police Officers made 92 traffic stops from Tuesday, Feb. 13 to Monday, Feb. 19 resulting in 18 citations, two written warnings and 75 verbal warnings. The department received 1,453 CAD calls and one report of theft in that time frame. Officers responded to five traffic crashes, as well.

A traffic stop was initiated Wednesday, Feb. 14 on a vehicle for passing stopped traffic over a double line. The driver was subsequently issued a citation for illegal passing and a criminal citation for knowingly driving with a suspended license.

A second traffic stop initiated Wednesday, Feb. 14 on a vehicle for driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver was subsequently issued a warning for driving on the wrong side of the road and an NTA for never having a driver’s license issued.
