The Sanibel Recreation Center will tip off its Sanibel Island Storm youth basketball program on August 15 with the generous support from Periwinkle Place Shops and Whitney’s Bait and Tackle.
This much-anticipated program is an excellent opportunity for children to learn fundamentals, improve their skills, make friends, and enjoy team spirit in a welcoming, community-centric environment.
Session Dates and Times (Fridays, August 15–October 3):
Kindergarten–1st Grade: 4:30 p.m.
2nd–3rd Grade: 4:30 p.m.
4th–5th Grade: 5:30 p.m.
6th–8th Grade: 5:30 p.m.
Additionally, the Tiny and Pre-K4 sessions will be held on Mondays, from August 18 to September 29, from 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This special group is designed to introduce the youngest players to the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, pressure-free setting.
