The Sanibel Captiva chapter of 100+ Women Who Care capped off its successful inaugural season by awarding a $12,600 grant to the Sanibel School Fund during a celebratory happy hour on May 6, generously hosted by Congress Jewelers. More than 75 members and friends were in attendance.
With more than $36,000 raised in its first season, the giving circle—powered by the Charitable Foundation of the Islands—is already making a meaningful difference across the islands. Members and supporters gathered to honor the third grantee, enjoy light refreshments, and shop the stunning Congress Jewelers collection.
“Congress Jewelers is proud to support the women and causes that strengthen our islands,” said Melissa Congress. “It was an inspiring evening filled with connection and purpose, and we’re thrilled to see the impact 100+ Women Who Care is already making.”
The group meets three times each season to nominate and vote on grants to local nonprofit organizations. Each member commits to donating $100 per meeting, pooling funds for maximum collective impact.
Looking ahead to 2026, meetings will be held at the Sanibel Captiva Realtors Association Building, 2353 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, from 9 to 10 a.m. on the following second Tuesdays:
• February 10
• March 10
• April 7
