Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association has begun taking applications for the 2024 Scholarship program.
This scholarship opportunity is available to any woman who lives on, works on, or supports Sanibel or Captiva and is a U.S. Citizen. Winners can use the scholarship money toward education or career advancement.
To obtain a copy of the application and address any further questions, please contact SCBWA Scholarship Committee Chair Sue Laird at slaird4040@gmail.com. The application deadline is Aug. 31, and scholarship recipients will be recognized at the September Luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
“Supporting women in pursuing continuing education and career advancement are integral parts of who we are as an organization,” stated Taylor Osborne, President of SCBWA. “We are very excited to begin taking applications for our 2024 Scholarship program to aid local women who aspire to better themselves through education or career advancement, which, in turn, betters our community.”
Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association is dedicated to empowering and supporting the women who work and live on the islands through networking, mentorship, continuing education, and career advancement.
SCBWA aims to serve the community by offering an inclusive, supportive, and diverse group of women who support women. Our focus is the advancement of women’s career development, targeted to workers, aspiring workers, and the residents of Sanibel and Captiva. The group meets every third Tuesday of the month at noon at various businesses and restaurants.
