The Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation will hold a reception and artist talk at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, with artists and the 2024 Bruch of Excellence Environmental Art Award recipients Cecilia Montalvo and Charlie McCullers.
Montalvo and McCullers will discuss their series of photographs, “Where the Light Enters,” including their intent behind the series and their artistic process.
They also recently donated 23 large artworks to SCCF’s future intern housing, which is being rebuilt from Hurricane Ian.
The reception is in collaboration with the ongoing “Water” exhibit by SCCF and Sanibel-Captiva Art League, showing at the Bailey Homestead through March 19. The exhibit will be displayed during the event, and many artists will be present.
The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., and the artist talk at 7:30 p.m. SCCF’s Flourish Fund generously supports this event.
