Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation’s signature concert series kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 17, with monthly live music events aboard the Lady Chadwick.

“We hope you’ll join us this season for an intimate, on-the-water sunset concert cruise thanks to our partners at Captiva Cruises and the incredibly generous Marcums,” said SCCF Event Director Jeff Siwicke. “We strive to curate music from various genres from well-established and up-and-coming artists around the country.”

SCCF launched Pine Island Sounds in 2019 as a special donor event to support critical research and programs to protect local water quality. All cruises set sail from McCarthy’s Marina on Captiva.

Thanks to “First Drink’s on Us” sponsors Janie Howland and Jack Thomas, a complimentary drink coupon and a buffet of light bites are included with each $125 admission.

The Lineup Through January 2025

THE SUITCASE JUNKET Sunday, Nov. 17 Matt Lorenz’s vision, manifest in The Suitcase Junket, developed in the tension between the grand and the solitary. Grand in its imagery, sound, and staging. Solitary in its thrift and self-reliance. What instruments he requires, Lorenz builds from scratch and salvage. What parts five players would perform, he performs alone. The spectacle of his one-man set bears constant comparison to legends of showmanship, brilliance, madness, and invention. 4-6 p.m.

CALEB CAUDLE Sunday, Dec. 15 Rolling Stone Country describes Caleb Caudle’s distinct sound as “the musical equivalent of high-proof bourbon— rich in flavor, with a subtle, satisfying bite.” Inspired by musical heroes like Buddy Miller and Guy Clark, and mentors like Elizabeth Cook and John Paul White, Caudle mines both the brightest and murkiest corners of his imagination, finding the purest of points where tenderness and grit collide. 4-6 p.m.

BLAIR CRIMMINS & THE HOOKERS Sunday, Jan. 12 A four-piece band known for its supercharged, hot ragtime jazz with a touch of rock and roll, the Atlanta, GA-based band Blair Crimmins and the Hookers have dedicated their musical careers to revive and bring Ragtime and 1920s Dixieland jazz to new audiences. However, Crimmins and his backing band, the Hookers, don’t focus on some sort of lifeless, era-inspired tribute; their sound, much like the sound they love and are so deeply inspired by, is a living, vital thing recorded using modern studio techniques. 4:30-6:30 p.m.
