SCCF Seeking Sponsors for Cause for the Campus

Those who attended the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation’s inaugural “Cause on the Causeway” in 2022 celebrated the launch of a new event built on the fun-filled tradition of the Sanibel Scea School’s beloved “Octifest,” expanding it to support all the water-related work of the three united brands – SCCF, Sea School and Coastal Watch.

This year, Cause on the Causeway will solely focus on the post-Hurricane Ian restoration and enhancements of the Sea School’s beloved east end buildings and outdoor spaces on Periwinkle Way. Hence, the organization is requesting sponsorship support for the newly renamed Cause for the Campus.

The event will be Saturday, March 2 at the Bailey Homestead Preserve. The Cause will be a tented dinner and entertainment evening. Guests will enjoy cocktail hour in the pavillion, dinner on the great lawn under a tent, live entertainment and the premier of a short film of the Sea School’s embracing culture and educational impacts.

The Cause will also feature a lively cause-related auction for six desperately-needed items:
• A new roof on the front building
• Wraparound decking on the Kennedy Building
• An outdoor learning ampitheater for 50 campers
• A full refurbished and upgraded play yard area
• A vastly improved storage facility
• Scholarship funding, as always

“While many of our events focus on community, marking milestones and other fun activities, The Cause is a gala-type event with typical SCCF vibes intended to be a significant fundraising lift for the organization and our current needs each year,” said SCCF EVents Manager Jeff Siwicke.

Sponsorship Levels

• Gulf Sponsor – $10,000 – Reserved table for 8, a news release and photo on multiple media platforms recognizing your support, and your name or logo placed on SCCF media platforms and in a print media and online thank you ad.

• Bay Sponsor – $5,000 – Reserved half-table for 4, a news release and photo on multiple media platforms recognizing your support, and your name or logo placed on SCCF media platforms and in a print media and online thank you ad.

• Sound Sponsor – $1,000 – Reserved seating for 2, and your name or logo placed on SCCF media platforms and in a print media and online thank you ad.

“We sincerely hope you can join in the fun as an event sponsor,” said Siwicke. “It will be a great night to ‘raise the roof’ in more ways than one.”

There are also naming opportunities associated with most of the auction needs. For additional information, contact SCCF Development Director Cheryl Giattini at 239-822-6121 or cgiattini@sccf.org.
