Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation’s Paul McCarthy Memorial Lecture will feature Pulitzer Prize-winning science writer and journalist Elizabeth Kolbert. The talk, which will include an engaging conversation with SCCF CEO James Evans, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way. Kolbert is best known for her book The “Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History,” which has amassed awards from the 2015 Pulitzer Prize in General Nonfiction, to No. 1 on The Guardian’s list of 100 Best Nonfiction Books of All Time, to a New York Times 2014 Top Ten Best Book of the Year.
