Sanibel Police responded to a report of a vessel crash Friday, Feb. 11 at Sanibel Marina, 634 N. Yachtsman Dr. The Florida Wildlife Conservation assumed the investigation.
There was a three-vehicle crash Saturday, Feb. 12 in the parking lot of Sandalfoot Beachfront Condominiums, 671 E. Gulf Dr. Silvia Chevez of Fort Myers was pulling her vehicle into a parking space when it struck the parked vehicle of Richard Roman of St. Louis, Mo. Roman’s vehicle was pushed into the parked vehicle of Margaret Poulin of Watervliet, N.Y.
Anthony Pasquali of Alva, Fla., was traveling east on Periwinkle Way at 5:34 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, when a vehicle operated by William Zembrodt of Sanibel exited the parking lot of Periwinkle Place shopping center and struck his vehicle. Zembrodt was issued a citation for careless driving.
Peggy Murphy of Evergreen Park, Ill., was traveling west on Sanibel Captiva Road at 9:32 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, when she slowed for traffic and the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Marley Pericles of Miami, Fla.
Heidi Gray of Fort Myers was traveling on Periwinkle Way at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, when she stopped for a bicyclist crossing at Bailey Road and the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Susan Burnett of Fort Myers.
June Koc of Sanibel was traveling east on Periwinkle Way at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, when she stopped for traffic and the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Meg Born of Sanibel. Koc’s vehicle was pushed into the back of a vehicle operated by Fernando Estrada of Fort Myers.
Shannon Gilmore of Cincinnatti, Ohio was traveling on Periwinkle Way at 2:57 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, when the back of her vehicle was struck by a motorcycle operated by James Russell of Sanibel. No injuries were reported.
Animal Reports
A deceased tern was found Tuesday, Feb. 15 on the beach near 303 Periwinkle Way. It was removed.
A coyote was sighted Wednesday, Feb. 16 on Sanibel Captiva Road near Tarpon Bay Road.
