Margaret Lowman, the Camp Operations Coordinator, is leading the operations team and the campers through a full activity schedule that includes fishing, archery, horse activities, and arts and crafts. The talent show, Challenge Log, team sports, and spiritual reflection. The Crow Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife will teach, and the Imaginarium will present at one of the group sessions. Grampy the Clown will be there!
“The number of Trailways Camp sessions is growing,” says Sharon Miller, the organization’s Board Vice Chair. “Jamie Senkeleski, Executive Director, focuses on quality, and she has developed a great team that will assure high-quality outcomes, safe experiences, and a healthy environment with accommodations to meet the unique needs of each camper. Caregivers, many of whom have never had an overnight away from daily responsibilities, will know their loved one is indeed well cared for– 4 days and 3 nights.”
The core team that includes nursing, personal care assistants, 4 counselors, and group buddies, along with 50 volunteers over the course of the week, all communicate the message “Trailways Camp is ‘A Place Where You are Something Special”
All present and past campers are invited to attend the annual “I Am Special” camper reunion event on April 18, 2026, at Sanibel Community Church. 300 attendees, which include campers, caregivers, volunteer Table Hosts, and community guests, are expected—Another Full House! Joy Abounds!
