The Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva and the Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida announce a new fundraising event for 2024.
The new Zonta “Peekleball Volley Against Violence” tournament will be on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15, at Sanibel’s Sundial Resort & Spa pickleball courts.
“Peekleball” is a nod to Zonta’s home tour “A Peek at the Unique,” a Sanibel-Captiva success story since 2002, and supports Zonta’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence — an international campaign that aims to inspire action and end violence against women and girls.
In addition to play of all types and at all levels, there will be fun activities, including sales, auctions, and giveaways. Click here to register for Zonta’s Volley Against Violence. Registration deadline is Dec. 10.
All funds raised will be distributed in the form of carefully vetted local grants that support Zonta’s mission to build a better world for women and girls, to halt gender-based violence, and to aid victims of the same.
