Once again Zonta’s Peek at the Unique home tour has drawn a generous group of major business sponsors and individual benefactors, each of whom contributes $2,000 or more to the event.
These major supporters were invited recently to the Sanibel Historical Village to be photographed at the 1924 Sears home, now the administrative office for the Village & Museum. The historic building, named Shore Haven and formerly on San Carlos Bay, was featured on the 2009 Peek and relocated some years later after being donated to the Village.
John Grey commented: “The Peek tour reaches so many people and brings them together, one of the reasons we like to participate.” Joyce Owens added: “It is so well organized – Zonta represents an amazing pool of talent and ability.”
Zonta thanks the more than 200 island businesses and individuals for their generous support, which has made it possible for Zonta’s foundation, since 2004, to award well over $1 million in local grants to organizations whose work empowers women.
