DESCRIPTION:Violins on the Veranda\, an evening of music and hors d’ouevers in support of the Sanibel Music Festival\, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday\, Feb. 19\, on the veranda at the Florida Trust Wealth Management\, 2054 Periwinkle Way. \nSMF’s “Painting of the Year\,” a colorful roseate spoonbill by Carol Good\, featured on the festival’s promotional material\, is the highlight of the evening’s auction. Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased online here or by calling 239-344-7025 to RSVP for tickets at the door. \nFlorida Trust Wealth Management has generously underwritten a portion of Violins on the Veranda. \nSMF opens its season on Tuesday\, March 3\, with the Cliburn International Piano Competition winner Aristo Sham performing at 7:30 p.m. at the Sanibel Congregational Church.

DESCRIPTION:Boston Trio joins the Sanibel Music Festival’s 35th Anniversary season on March 12. “Pianist Heng-Jin Park\, violinist Grace Park\, and cellist Jonah Ellsworth have appeared with major orchestras and leading chamber music festivals throughout the United States and Europe\,” said Deborah Larson\, Sanibel Music Festival Vice President. “Renowned for their brilliance and virtuosity\, we are elated to welcome the Boston Trio to Sanibel Music Festival’s 2022 season.” \nThe program March 12 starts with the Beethoven Piano Trio No. 1 in E-flat Major\, Op. 1\, No. 1\, and the Faure’ Piano Trio in D Minor\, Op. 120. Next the trio will perform Haydn’s Piano Trio No. 35 in C Major\, Hob. XV:21. The concert will conclude with the Brahms Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor\, Op. 101. DESCRIPTION:Cited as one of today’s most innovative chamber ensembles\, American Chamber Players will perform on March 8 at Sanibel Music Festival. “There’s always excited anticipation for American Chamber Players\,” said Festival President Jana Stone. “Although Artistic Director Miles Hoffman will not be performing this season\, he is known for creating programs that surprise and delight the audience.” Miles Hoffman is the group’s founder\, artistic director\, and a longtime music commentator for National Public Radio. \nThe American Chamber Players program will begin with two pieces from early 20th century Paris: Three Watercolors for Flute\, Cello\, and Piano by composer and flutist Philippe Gaubert\, and Two Interludes for Flute\, Violin\, and Harp by composer Jacques Ibert. Next\, from a century earlier\, Viennese composure Franz Schubert’s Sonatina No. 1 for Violin and Piano will be performed\, followed by Sonata for Flute\, Violin and Continuo in B-flat Major from composer C.P.E. Bach\, known as “Berlin Bach\,” to distinguish him from his father Johann Sebastian.
