Patrick Conolly is exhibiting his paintings in August at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way.
“All my life I have dabbled with the Arts, and now the Arts seem to be dabbling with me,” said Conolly. “While my art work springs spontaneously from my imagination, lately I’ve been playing around with surfaces, both flat and shiny, as well as line work with minimal or very bright colors. My large works can be quite simple, while the smaller works can be filled with tiny details.”
This exhibit presents some of his Sanibel-Captiva plein air paintings, a collection of colorful abstracts with hints of realism, incorporating a sense of place and an outdoor breath of location.
Conolly is a member of the SanCap Art League of Sanibel. The show can be viewed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday at the Community House.
