Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands continues its tradition of supporting Southwest Florida’s wildlife by sponsoring the 7th annual WILD About CROW fundraiser, the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife announced today.
WILD About CROW, the nonprofit’s largest annual fundraiser, will take place Jan. 16, 2027, at The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers. It will benefit CROW’s avian program.
“Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands has proudly supported WILD About CROW since the event began, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to CROW and our mission,” says Michelle Menendez, CROW’s Interim Executive Director.
“Avian patients make up one of the largest groups we serve, and their recovery often requires specialized veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, and daily care. This sponsorship ensures these patients receive the best care possible, allowing more injured and orphaned birds to heal, regain their strength, and return to the wild,” said Menendez.
The bank’s continued involvement reflects a shared commitment to wildlife and the communities CROW serves, both on Sanibel and Captiva Islands and throughout Southwest Florida.
“We’re honored to support Wild about CROW again this year,” says Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands CEO Geoffrey Roepstorff. “Holding this fun and informative event in Fort Myers reminds all of us that CROW’s work extends beyond our region’s barrier islands into the mainland. We hope to see fellow Lee County residents join us for a great evening.”
From orphaned nestlings to injured shorebirds and birds of prey, CROW’s avian patients have a wide range of needs. Gala proceeds will help provide the veterinary treatment, daily rehabilitative care, and specialized support these birds need to heal, regain their strength, and return to the wild.
In 2026 to date, CROW has admitted 2,512 avian patients out of 4,654 wildlife patients.
Guests will enjoy dinner, an open bar, live entertainment, auctions and opportunities to meet some of CROW’s educational Animal Ambassadors. The evening supports a wildlife hospital that cares for more than 5,000 injured, sick, and orphaned wild and migratory animals each year.
Sponsorship opportunities remain available, including the Snowy Plover Shirt Sponsor, Mourning Dove Mystery Box Sponsor, Anhinga Auction Sponsor and Tri-Color Heron Table Sponsor. Sponsors receive recognition before and during the event.
