Bank of the Islands is proud to support the work of Feed My Starving Children as a $500 sponsor and volunteer team for its February 9-10 event. The Bank is also encouraging its customers and neighbors to join them as volunteers.
“We are so happy to help support the good work of Feed My Starving Children both with a financial contribution and with our time,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “They have set an impressive goal of distributing 100,000 packaged meals, so we hope others in our Southwest Florida community will consider joining the effort next week.”
Feed My Starving Children is a national nonprofit organization that works with local volunteers to pack healthy meals for children in need throughout the world. The local event will take place on February 9 and 10 at Faith Methodist Church at 15690 McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers. Each of the two sessions is only two hours long. Volunteers are encouraged to register at http://www.give.fmsc.org/sanibel or by sending an email to dave.truelsen@gmail.com.
