A bicyclist received minor injuries following a crash with a vehicle Friday, Jan. 15 at the intersection of Periwinkle Way and Casa Ybel Road.
Ann McWilliams of Louisville, Ky., failed to yield to a vehicle operated by David Coleman of St. Louis, Mo., who was making a right turn onto Casa Ybel at the direction of a traffic aid. McWilliams’ bicycle struck the back right passenger side of Coleman’s vehicle causing minor damage to the vehicle and bicycle. The police report stated McWilliams’ husband transported her to the hospital.
Jessica Godwin of Fort Myers was traveling west on Periwinkle Way at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, when she suddenly stopped for traffic near the Sanibel Bean and the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Michael Holsomback of Fort Myers.
Christa Mahar of Sanibel was making a right turn from Sanibel Captiva Road onto Sanibel Bayous Road Wednesday, Jan. 20, when the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Nicholas Golod of Cape Coral.
