BIG ARTS Announces Cancellation of Performing Arts Series

BIG ARTS Executive Director Lee Ellen Harder announced Wednesday, Nov. 2 the cancellation of the full 2023 Performing Arts Series and the suspension of all on-site activities through January 2023. All ticket and workshop registration fees are refundable, including Platinum Club catering fees.

“You also have the option of donating your ticket costs,” said Harder. “All donations are 100 percent deductible and deeply appreciated.”

Harder said their hearts go out to friends and neighbors who have suffered devastating losses from Hurricane Ian. While the BIG ARTS building did not suffer any structural damage from the storm, many of the staff lost their homes or had their homes significantly damaged. “Most of us have relocated to temporary housing and are working remotely to take care of BIG ARTS business,” she said.

Contact BIG ARTS at info@bigarts.org to let them know if you would like a refund or donate your ticket and/or registration cost. Since staff is working remotely, Harder said they cannot receive phone calls. “If we don’t hear from you by Nov. 30, we will assume you wish to donate your tickets and/or registration fees,” she said. “We will be in touch to let everyone know of our spring plans. In the meantime, thanks to everyone for their support of BIG ARTS.”
