BIG ARTS Call to Artists for ‘Creative Ventures’ Juried Exhibition

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

BIG ARTS is pleased to invite artists to submit their artwork for its annual juried exhibition in the Dunham Family Gallery. This year’s show entitled “Creative Ventures” asks artists to explore new ideas, styles, and mediums, resulting in fresh one-of-a-kind works. The popular annual exhibit is emblematic of BIG ARTS commitment to bring noteworthy artists to our community. Last years juried show featured 62 works of art that were selected from 205 total pieces of art that were submitted from across the globe.

The juried exhibit opens on January 28 and is an open-theme exhibition for artists working in painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, fiber, printmaking, etc. Artwork will be judged according to artistic merit. This annual popular exhibit is juried by BIG ARTS Visual Arts Committee: Diane Olsson, Deborah Butler, Bunny Ospa, Bea Pappas, Kathy Taylor, Annie Wainwright, Peter Zell and BIG ARTS Programs and Gallery Manager Lauren Huff.

Artwork for the show can be submitted digitally by January 2 through the BIG ARTS website: http://www.bigarts.org. The fee to submit is $25 for donors, $30 for non-donors and $15 for students. All artists will all be notified by email by January 7.
