BIG ARTS Is One Of Few Intact After Ian

BIG ARTS Executive Director Lee Ellen Harder announced yesterday the island’s arts and culture center is one of the few intact, standing buildings in good condition following Hurricane Ian. “Were it not for the generosity and commitment of so many people who pitched in to help build our new home in 2019, BIG ARTS would not have survived,” said Harder.

While they are working to restore basic communications and determining next steps, Harder said they promise to keep everyone well informed with updates. “To all our friends on the islands, the whole staff and board sends our heartfelt love and support,” said Harder. “We look forward to the day when we will soon be together again celebrating a bright and beautiful renewal.”
