The Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation and the Sanibel Captiva Art League are seeking fresh works of art depicting the theme of Island, inspired by the conservation and protection of the natural beauty and wildlife of Sanibel and Captiva.
The Island exhibit will hang Feb. 3 to April 2, 2020, at the SCCF Bailey Homestead Preserve, 1300 Periwinkle Way.
Open to all members of SCAL and SCCF, the exhibit seeks artwork representative of SCCF’s mission and express the theme of Island, whether interpretative or literal. Submissions may be 2-D or 3-D (please no photography). For dimension restrictions and rules, please click here for the Artist Prospectus and Exhibitor’s Contract.
All members of SCAL and SCCF to enter pieces that embody their rendition and vision of Island.
Pieces can be dropped off at the Native Landscapes & Garden Center on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be an artist orientation directly following dropoff at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 30.
There is no fee to enter this exhibit with proof of current membership to the Sanibel Captiva Art League or SCCF. If not a member, you may join the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation or the Sanibel Captiva Art League by accessing the membership form at sccf.org (see the “Support Us” button at the top right of the home page) or sancapart.com. All work must be for sale and a 20 percent donation to SCCF will be applicable if sold.
