The Captiva Erosion Prevention District has a vacancy for a secretary following the loss of Harry Kaiser, who devoted years to serving the resident of Captiva and the Board of Commissioners. The CEPD board is now accepting applications from interested Captivans to be considered for appointment to the vacant seat; the appointee will fill out the remainder of Kaier’s term.
Applications can be completed and submitted at mycepd.com. Deadline to apply is Dec. 31.

CEPD is goverend by an elected board of five commissioners, each of whom is a qualified elector residing within the district. It is a non-partisan office.
