The Charitable Foundation of the Islands invites local businesses, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and residents to take advantage of two upcoming free artificial intelligence workshops that provide practical tools participants can use right away.
Presented by the Florida Gulf Coast University AIN Hub Design & Technology Team and powered by CFI, the workshops are part of a four-part AI education series created to help the Sanibel and Captiva community better understand and utilize rapidly evolving AI technology.
The next workshop, “Boost Your Brand, Build Your Web Presence,” will take place Friday, September 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS®, 2353 Periwinkle Way, Suite 201, Sanibel.
The hands-on session will focus on using AI to strengthen digital marketing and online visibility. Participants will explore ways to use AI to generate engaging social media ideas and captions, plan content calendars, identify trends, develop website copy and layouts, and more. Whether participants are building an online presence from scratch or looking for new ways to improve an existing strategy, the workshop will offer practical techniques they can use immediately.
A final workshop in the series will be held Friday, October 16, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS®. The session will continue building participants’ AI skills, focusing on helping businesses and organizations use artificial intelligence to market smarter, save time, and reach more customers.
Both workshops are free and open to the public, and participants of all experience levels are encouraged to attend. No previous AI experience is necessary.
“These workshops are about making emerging technology approachable and useful for our community,” said Dolly Farrell, Executive Director of CFI. “AI is changing the way we work and communicate, and we want our local nonprofits, businesses, and community members to have access to the tools and education they need to take advantage of these opportunities.”
CFI’s Community Impact Fund makes the AI Workshop Series possible, supporting initiatives that respond to community needs and create opportunities for Sanibel and Captiva. Through the generosity of Community Impact Fund donors, CFI can offer the workshops at no cost to participants.
CFI extends a special thank you to the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS® for serving as the venue sponsor for the series.
Space is limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
