Chapel Cancels Christmas Eve Service; Lights Will Be On

provided to Santiva Chronicle

Captiva’s Chapel by the Sea has canceled its traditional Christmas Eve service with the health and safety of its chapel family in mind during the health pandemic. The Chapel’s Christmas lights will continue to burn brightly from 5:30 to 10 p.m. now through Jan. 10. The lights will be on from 5:30 to  p.m. Christmas Eve and masks are mandatory.

If at any time the Chapel yard becomes overcrowded, there will be a line to wait six feet apart in the parking lot until viewing of the lights can be done comfortably and safely. In order to avoid congestion, photos will not be permitted on Christmas Eve. Photos may be taken at another time until the lights come down.
