Community Housing and Resources, the islands’ affordable housing organization, welcomes its newest staff member Kate Stone Pujol.
Pujol grew up on Sanibel Island with her parents Bridgit and Dan Budd. She has been very involved in the Island community since a young age: attending community events with her mom, volunteering, and attending the Sanibel School. This adoration for the Island led her to return to Southwest Florida immediately after graduating from Florida State University.
Pujol brings her experience in fundraising, networking, philanthropy, and island familiarity to Community Housing and Resources. She has a deep appreciation for first responders and in 2021 she married her husband who is a local firefighter/paramedic. When they aren’t working, they enjoy exploring with their German Shepherd, Blue, or dining at their favorite restaurant, the Pecking Order – owned by her parents.
Loving the community as she does, Kate has been an active participant in the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce, The Sanibel-Captiva Association of Realtors, the local Zonta chapter, and fundraising for There is Hope for Haiti. Her enthusiasm and humanitarianism has also led her to join mission trips to Ecuador and Haiti with the Sanibel Community Church.
