Community Housing & Resources Executive Director Nicole McHale has been named a member of Preserving Paradise, an elite group of business leaders who advocate for Southwest Florida’s ecological health.
Announcing its second-ever class of 23 leaders, Preserving Paradise said McHale “brings a wealth of leadership and heart to our community. Her dedication to service has helped shape the islands — and we’re thrilled to have her in this year’s class.”
Preserving Paradise equips participants to understand and advocate for Everglades restoration, emphasizing the economic benefits and the business community’s role in ensuring clean water.
Class members take part in group discussions, field excursions, and classroom sessions on ecological and political challenges.
They also get to engage with policymakers on critical issues, including Everglades restoration, stormwater standards, wastewater strategies, and other concerns on behalf of the business community.
“As places of natural strength and beauty, Sanibel and Captiva Islands depend on safeguarding the health of our environment. This impacts our economy, our community, and our families,” said McHale. “I’m delighted to lend my voice and insights to this vital effort.”
