REMINDER: The City of Sanibel will hold a workshop for the Center4Life project at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at MacKenzie Hall, 800 Dunlop Rd.

The senior center shared a small building with the affordable housing organization Community Housing & Resources on the corner of Library Way and Palm Ridge Road. It has been closed since the start of the COVID pandemic in March 2020. Island Seniors have been temporarily holding a selection of programs at the Sanibel Recreation Center.

In December 2019, the city purchased the former Sanibel Captiva Community Bank building on Library Way to be the new home for the two organizations. On the agenda is an architectural review and analysis of the renovated space. View the full workshop agenda.

A full story will be in Sanibel News at SantivaChronicle.com on Friday, Jan. 28.
